On Maine Day, all teams that built a Wood Fired Hot Water Heater will display them for everyone to see.  Events on that day will be as follows;

Oral Presentation/Project Overview:

           Each team will give a 12 Minute PowerPoint Presentations.  The presentation will be a timeline of the entire year showing, design, manufacturing, construction and test results. The Presentations will be graded by the judges.  The goal of this presentation is for the young engineers to practice communicating in a non-technical manner so the general public can understand why they could benefit from this invention.  The presentation will be an advertisement of our final product. For this portion of the competition it is possible for each team to score the 5 points.

On site assembly

           On Maine Day, each team will be given the opportunity to assemble their unit if they so desire.  This is an option that is not required.  Teams may or may not have designed their unit to be assembled and disassembled.  There is no penalty  asses to teams who do not participate in this, nor is there extra points awarded to teams that do in fact participate.

Lighting Demonstration

           Each team will demonstrate to the public how to light and operate their stove.  The teams do not need to cycle water through the unit but may do so if they desire.  Once again no points will be awarded for those teams participating or not participating.
